UPDATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT 8/4/10

There are so many who have heard about BabyBoy's plight and have so generously given. Mona T. has set up the FB "invite" which helped so many see the story of BabyBoy. Ruth C. drove to LA and picked him up from Leonel, the man who saved him (8/2). Colleen has been his emergency foster mom and there have been 100s and 100s of crossposts, tweets, emails, phone calls made for this baby boy. :)

Dr. Jones (of Ken Jones Animal Hospital) gave the intial free xrays and is now providing evrything necessary to have BabyBoy's suregery done by Dr. Stumpp!!!! YES, BabyBoy's surgery will cost only $1000 (which is mainly to cover the cost of the plates).. NOONE is making money off this! This could have easily have cost $5000 which we would not be able to raise in time. Dr. Jones & Suzann Jones and Dr. Stumpp and Michelle Stumpp have gone above and beyond. Surgery is scheduled for Thursday, August 5). Ruth has transported him from OC to Santa Monica this evening, BabyBoy is now under medical supervision.

We have over $1100 on the ChipIn. Some of these funds won't be availabe to me for a few more days (echecks take up to 5 days to process). As of now, 931 is what has hit my account. There are other who will pay Dr. Jones office directly. Please specify this is for BabyBoy. ALL funds will go directly to his care and aftercare. Updates and photos will be made available as soon as we get them. Also, bills and payments will be posted so each and every angel can see what you have contributed to!!!

PS~BabyBoy is not under the care of a 501c3, he is being fostered by Colleen, a kind soul and all of us are acting as his rescue! How amazing!

Thank you to all who have given!!! We are just over $500 with other promised funds.

I am beginning to feel that this is inhumane. He has been suffering since 8/1. TODAY, I need a 501c3 to get involved and help me (and all of us who are supporting him) and get him to a SPECIALIST. We will continue fundraising but BabyBoy can not and should NOT wait!

Rescues have more contacts with vets that they know will help... I NEED YOU ALL! HE NEEDS US! To keep him alive and suffering is NOT RIGHT!

I have found a surgery center in LA which will give a 30% disocunt to rescue (w/501c3 status) and 20% off diagnostics. I'm told this place is costly, of course. This is what I have for now. I'm in MI trying to save his life and do no harm... I feel real harm is being done now.

Who can help?

So a vet in LA county or OC would be ideal. Sorry, didn't include in last post.. We are all getting tired.. I can imagine how he feels.

The vet that did the free xrays has told us that the fracture is severe. He has a shattered pelvis. What does this mean? The obvious is that he is in a ton of pain and has been since he was run over. His burns from the road probably hurt him horribly too. (HIs foster mom has some meds for him but he could use some strong meds now).

Plates will be required, $500 each. So we are starting with a need rfo 1k just for the hardware. The longer we wait the worse it is for him for many reasons.

How you can help: 1.DONATE ANY amount, ANY! 2. CROSSPOST and tag friends that might help 3. recommend a VET who can help BabyBoy and/OR a RESCUE that can help him!

A sweet little cairn terrier mix was run over and left for dead in South Central LA. This happened on August 1, 2010. By the time his first guardian angel appeared , it had been 24 hours of him lying in the hot sun with two broken hips and many other injuries. The gentleman who eventually picked him up and brought him to safety was fearful that the very pet un-friendly apartment manager would send him to the pound where he would have had an even worse fate.

Instead, the man posted an ad on Craigslist. He didn't know what else to do. From there Baby Boy's image ended up on Facebook and many volunteers moved to action including a woman named Ruth who picked this sweet little one up.

A generous vet gave him free xrays (I will update with the name of vet in Santa Monica <3 Thank you, thank you!)

He is presently WITHOUT further medical care and he is in pain. He has a temporary emergency foster who is giving him his pain meds, keeping him quiet and feeding him well.. He is so hungry.

This boy has burns from the road, 2 broken hips and previous injuries :(..

So, Baby Boy needs us to find him RESCUE and to get him into a vet URGENTLY! Please consider the pain this poor boy has suffered in his short life.

NO DONATION IS TOO SMALL!

All funds will be sent directly to the vet once we get a rescue to take him!
