Holiday Wish for a Wonderful Family who needs our help!
Dear Friends,Many of you already know the basics about a friend named Mary who recently contacted rescue in an attempt to find temporary housing for her 3 LOVED Cairn Terriers.. Due to many life challenges, she and her adult son were going to have to move in with family and the dogs would not be able to come.. She NEVER asked for help other than temporary foster care for her babies.. I AM ASKING---not her!!! (I repeat: She has NOT asked for help, I AM!)Her husband lost his career with a manufacturing company when the economy went south a few years ago. Since that time they were forced to give up their home where they raised their boys (now adults) and where they even fostered other children. Mary's husband was recently hospitalized due to a serious stress related illness and will remain in care for quite awhile. Her health has been compromised with Crohn's Disease making it diffcult to work right now (she is searching for employment that will be suitable for her with her illness). They have 3 fantastic sons.. One of them has Muscular Dsytrophy and lives with Mary. If you ever had the chance to speak with "Miss Mary" you would love her ! She has an incredible spirit!THANK YOU ALL who have given!!
We collected $170 in cash for food and household items. We then collected $550 from Paypal donations... This was for a partial rent for November and for 1 utility bill and a partial payment on another... In total: $720!! WOW! Feeling the love...*MORE SAD NEWS* As if they weren't dealing with enough... One of the 3 beloved Cairns (Mac-an All Star Cairn. loved and cherished) died suddenly today.I'm asking for funds to help pay rent & utilities for December and now, for help cremating her cherished doggy.We read the headlines... this is REAL.. People are suffering. GOOD people who used to be the ones giving to less fortunate. Now, it's their turn to recieve!Helping others helps the helper more than the reciever.. : ) GIVING IS GOOD!PRAYERS, GOOD WISHES AND LOVE all count!! NOT everyone can give $...
